Final Countdown

Privacy Policy

For the Final Countdown app on iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch, and its Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets.

Effective 6 September 2026Last updated 6 September 2026

The short version: Final Countdown collects nothing. There is no account, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no third-party code of any kind in the app. The app makes no network requests at all — your timers, events, and settings never leave your device.

1. Information we collect

None.

We do not collect, receive, transmit, sell, or share any personal information. Specifically, the app does not ask for or access:

There is no sign-up, no login, and no way to create an account, because the app has no server.

2. Information stored on your device

Everything you create in Final Countdown stays on your device:

This data is stored in a shared app container (an Apple “App Group”) so that the app, its widgets, and the Apple Watch app can all read the same timers and events on your device. We have no access to this container, and nothing in it is uploaded anywhere.

Deleting the app deletes this data. If your device backs up to iCloud or to a computer, your app data may be included in that backup. Those backups are created and secured by Apple under Apple’s privacy policy, not by us, and we cannot read them.

3. Notifications

Final Countdown schedules local notifications — alerts created on your device by your device — so that a timer can tell you when it has finished, even if you have left the app. Timer-completion alerts are delivered as time-sensitive notifications so they are not silenced by a Focus mode.

There is no push notification server. No notification token, device token, or message content is ever sent to us or to anyone else. You can turn notifications off at any time in iOS Settings → Notifications → Final Countdown, or in the app’s own settings.

4. Network access

The app makes no network requests. It contains no remote configuration, no crash-reporting service, no content downloads, and no telemetry. It works identically in Airplane Mode.

5. Tracking and advertising

Final Countdown does not track you. It shows no advertisements, contains no advertising SDK, does not use the advertising identifier, and never asks for permission to track across apps or websites, because it has nothing to track you with. Its privacy manifest declares NSPrivacyTracking as false and lists no collected data types and no tracking domains.

6. Third parties

The app includes no third-party SDKs, frameworks, or analytics libraries. It is built only on Apple’s own frameworks, and all of its own code is contained in the app.

Separately from the app, Apple may provide us with aggregated App Store reports — such as download counts, and crash reports and usage statistics from users who have chosen to share analytics with developers in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements. That information reaches us only through Apple, already aggregated or anonymized, and it is governed by Apple’s privacy policy. We cannot use it to identify you, and the app itself sends us nothing.

7. Children’s privacy

Final Countdown is safe for users of any age. It collects no data from anyone, including children under 13 (or the equivalent age in your country), contains no advertising, no in-app purchases, no user-generated content shared with others, and no links out to the web.

8. Your rights

Privacy laws such as the GDPR (EU/UK), the CCPA/CPRA (California), and similar regulations give you rights to access, correct, export, or delete the personal data a company holds about you.

We hold no personal data about you. There is nothing for us to look up, export, correct, or delete, and there is no request you need to make. You have direct and complete control of your data at all times: you can edit or delete any timer or event inside the app, and deleting the app removes all of it from your device.

We do not sell or share personal information, as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA, and we never have.

9. Data retention

Because we receive no data, we retain none. Data you create stays on your device for as long as you keep it there.

10. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes — for example, if a future version of the app adds a feature that needs data — we will update this page and change the “Last updated” date above before that version is released. Material changes will also be noted in the app’s release notes on the App Store.
